Library Q & A associated with the renovation of Yatomi Machinaka Interchange Center

1 Can I use the reading room?

　Since renewal work in the reading room will be performed, it will not be possible to enter the reading room after October 1. Please use the overhead reservation (available from November 1) to borrow books. Books that have been booked will be handed over at the temporary counter.

2 How do I make a reservation?

　Please make a reservation from your personal computer or smartphone via OPAC. We will contact you as soon as the book is ready, so please come to the temporary library window. It may take about 1 to 2 weeks to prepare the book. For those who have difficulty using a PC or smartphone, OPAC has been set up at a temporary window, so we apologize for any inconvenience, but please visit us. Please note that books cannot be borrowed on the same day even if you visit the museum.

3 Is there any change in the contents of lending materials?

　Only returns will be accepted from October 1 to October 31, but lending operations (including reservations and requests) will be suspended.

　From November 1st, it is as follows.

　Picture books and picture-story shows: You can borrow only those that are placed at the temporary counter.

　Magazines and audiovisual materials (CDs and DVDs): I can't borrow it.

　Local Areas and Reference Materials: It cannot be viewed or borrowed.

　General books and children's books: Please check from OPAC at any time.

4 Is there any change in the number of books borrowed?

　You can borrow up to 10 books.

5 Is there any change in the deadline for returning materials?

　You can borrow for 2 weeks as usual.

6 Can I use the return post?

　It can be used. We install in city hall main government building the first floor night holiday entrance.

7 Will you be unable to read newspapers and magazines during the construction period?

　From October 1st, only the latest issue can be viewed in the free space on the 2nd floor of the Machinaka Exchange Center.

Can I request 8 books?

　Requests cannot be made during the period from October 1 to October 31.

　Requests can be made as usual after November 1st. We will prepare an application form at the temporary counter, so please use it.

9 Do you purchase new books during the construction period?

　We will continue to purchase books during the construction period. New books will be distributed at the temporary window.

10 What happens to the storytelling party?

　After October, the talk session will be closed.

11 Is the opening hours of the temporary window changed from normal times?

　Basically, there is no change. Fire to Gold: From 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., weekends and holidays: From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

12 Do you provide printing services during the construction period?

　Printing services will not be available from October 1 until construction is completed.

13 Can I use the Internet terminal?

　It cannot be used from October 1 to the completion of construction.
